5 NEW BUS SHELTERS WITH MORE TO COME.
Joanne Taylor thank you for your interest & questions regarding the new bus shelters you are seeing in many parts of our smart little city.
The bus shelters are paid for by NCC but in turn the council receives a 51% subsidy from Central Government via the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). The shelters vary in cost - the new ones are costing approximately $15,000 each plus installation costs.
Advice on their location has come from the local bus company. However I feel sure council would value suggestions on where you think bus shelters would be well-used.
