Jude Biggs thank you for sharing with me the difficulty you & other pedestrians are experiecing when trying to cross the busy Tahunanui/Annesbrook Drive & for your suggestion that a pedestrian refuge island be installed close to Douglas Road.
Jude you will be pleased to know NCC understands/appreciates your concern & is working closely with NZTA (as the road is a state highway) to remedy the situation. Several options are under consideration eg in the vicinity of Douglas Rd., Marie St., & Toswell Reserve. I'll keep you updated as the options are progressed.
